It has a distinctly custom-built feel, and for good reason. Nearly every inch of the property - from the luxurious cabins within walking distance of one another to the heated pool and more - was purpose-built for exceptional events, like weddings in Blue Ridge.
It all started when Oregonian Greg Spencer initially discovered the Blue Ridge area on a backpacking trip to the Cohutta Wilderness in the 1980s. A short time later, enamored of the area, Greg embarked on a land-purchasing mission that led him to 17 acres of undeveloped acreage. Amazed by the beauty of the Toccoa River and the inspiring views of the surrounding mountains, Greg wasted no time in securing what is now known as Toccoa House Properties.

At the end of the day, we want your wedding to be the very best that it can be - which is why we're happy to provide some time-tested tips for selecting a location for your wedding.
When selecting a venue for your wedding, it's important to take into account the overall look and atmosphere you wish to achieve. Your chosen wedding style will determine which venues are most suitable for you and your partner.
What time of the year do you want to get married? Once you have an idea of a season, like fall or spring, come up with a list of potential of wedding venues in Blue Ridge, GA, like Toccoa House Properties.
One of the most important steps involved in choosing a wedding venue is to tour the space. Don't be afraid to ask pertinent questions. If the venue manager seems like they have better things to do than answer your questions, look elsewhere.
Once you narrow down your wedding venue choices, consider the amenities and services the venue offers. Be sure to weigh what they offer against your needs and budget to further narrow down your choices.
If you think your guests will hate a particular wedding venue location, why consider it in the first place? Choosing a destination - like Toccoa House Properties - that is within a short driving distance of grocery stores and restaurants is almost always better than a hard-to-access venue.
Do yourself a favor and check out the wedding venue's Google reviews and reviews on other platforms. You can also ask for opinions from people you trust, like friends and family members. Don't be afraid to reach out directly to people who have used the wedding venue previously. A wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Orlando, FL, should be excited to show you their online reviews. If you notice a disparaging review, try asking the owner of the wedding venue to explain their side of the story before writing them off completely.
Try coming up with a list of pros and cons of each wedding venue that you're considering. Doing so can help you whittle your list down to one or two choices. Remember to trust your gut throughout this process. If you've come down to two choices, and something about one of the venues rubbed you the wrong way, it's probably for a reason.
Once you've settled on a wedding venue, it's time to book! As most wedding venues will tell you, try booking your venue at least a year before your wedding is set to take place. Doing so will give you plenty of time to plan. If you need help preparing, don't be afraid to work with a professional wedding planner to make your life easier.
When it comes to tying the knot with your soon-to-be spouse, there's a lot on your plate to consider. Choosing the right wedding space can mean the difference between the wedding of your dreams and an experience you'd like to forget. With six fully-furnished cabins, 17 acres of natural beauty, an array of outdoor activities, a quarter mile of Toccoa River frontage, and much more, there's no better option than our wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Orlando, FL- Toccoa House Properties.

EARLY VOTING
ORLANDO, Fla. — As thousands of people are eager to cast their ballots during early voting, many are dealing with traffic backups, trouble locating quick parking and long lines at polling places.
“This is a very historic election," Orange County Supervisor of Elections Glen Gilzean said. "We’ve exceeded numbers every day in early voting since we started on Monday."
With a record number of early voters in Orange County, Gilzean said delays can be part of the process, so voters are urged to be patient.
Since early voting started on Monday in Orange County, at least 66,000 people had cast their votes as of Thursday afternoon. Voter turnout numbers are constantly updated on the Supervisor of Elections website.
“I just want to vote early, if anything, maybe stop all the mail from coming in my mailbox and get it done, get it out of the way,” said Jason Schuck who showed up at the Southwest Library location on Della Drive. “I know who I’m voting for.”
Schuck said he was working Thursday, but decided to take a long lunch to give him time to vote.
“Parking is a little bit of an issue here," he said. "There’s a lot of circling the lot."
He said that parking has been “somewhat inconvenient” at the Southwest Library polling location.
“It could probably be in a bigger venue, to be honest,” Schuck said.
In response, Orange County Supervisor of Elections Glen Gilzean said he is visiting all early voting sites to study the long lines in an effort to figure out ways to alleviate Schuck’s and other Orange County residents’ concerns.
“One of the things we’re working with is our county partners and other governmental partners, (is) to find ways of expanding early voting," he said. "To ensure that we can minimize long lines as much as possible."
At the library, Spectrum News saw signs that said a shuttle was available to transport voters from the overflow parking at the YMCA, which was more than a mile from the polling place.
Gilzean said he’s seeing long lines at polling places all over Orange County.
He said if voters take time to go through their ballot before coming to a polling location, that will help mitigate long lines.

ORLANDO, Fla. – BYU football will travel to Florida this weekend to play Big 12 foe UCF in Orlando.
In the 100 season of BYU football, Saturday will mark only the 11th game played in the Sunshine State for the Cougars.
BYU’s record in Florida is 2-8. However, they are currently on a two-game winning streak, with both victories occurring during the Kalani Sitake era.
Trips to the Sunshine Shine will be more frequent now that BYU is in a league with a team based out of Florida. Still, the opportunities are always noteworthy ones.
Saturday will be only the seventh regular season game played in Florida.
BYU is 0-3 all-time in games played in Orlando. The last visit to Orlando was in 2014 against UCF.
Here’s a look back at BYU football’s history in games played in Florida.

BYU kept the good vibes in Florida with a revenge victory over USF. After a two-and-a-half-hour weather delay, BYU kicked off the 2022 season, and it started with a Puka Nacua rushing touchdown on the season’s opening play.
BYU cruised to a comfortable victory over a bad South Florida squad.

BYU’s first win in the Sunshine State was a memorable victory to cap off a season during a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic. Quarterback Zach Wilson was brilliant, passing for 425 yards and accounting for five touchdowns (three passes, two on the ground).
After that performance, there was no question Wilson had to declare for the NFL draft.
What’s crazy is that UCF’s opposing quarterback in that game was Dillon Gabriel. Gabriel is currently on his third team in college, leading the No. 1 ranked Oregon Ducks, while Wilson is in his fourth season in the NFL.
Tampa, Florida | October 12, 2019
Jaren Hall’s first career start as BYU’s quarterback was challenging. Hall left the game early due to a concussion, then Baylor Romney tried to put together a late-game drive, but the Cougars came up short.
After that loss, BYU fell to 2-4 on the season. There was a lot of speculation about Kalani Sitake’s job status at that moment. BYU turned around its season with an upset win over Boise State and ultimately reached six wins, earning Kalani Sitake a job extension.
Miami, Florida | December 22, 2014
BYU lost a double-overtime thriller to Memphis in the first-ever Miami Beach Bowl. But everyone remembers this game from the postgame brawl after BYU came up short.
Orlando, Florida | October 9, 2014
Christian Stewart got his first career start at quarterback after Taysom Hill suffered a season-ending injury the week prior during the loss to Utah State.
Stewart helped BYU build a 24-10 lead, but the Knights rallied to score 14 unanswered to force overtime. Then UCF got the upper hand over BYU in overtime.
Tallahassee, Florida | September 18, 2010
BYU QB Riley Nelson suffered a season-ending injury, forcing Jake Heaps into the spotlight as the full-time QB as a freshman.
The Cougars were no match for the Seminoles in year one under Jimbo Fisher.
Jacksonville, Florida | August 26, 2000
LaVell Edwards’ final season began in Jacksonville, Florida, against the defending National Champion Florida State Seminoles. The Noles were loaded with Chris Weinke at quarterback, Travis Minor at running back, Anquan Boldin at wide receiver, and Tay Cody to lead the defense.
An interesting tidbit from this game is that Kalani Sitake led BYU in rushing yards with 20 yards on five carries.
Miami, Florida | December 3, 1988
The forgotten BYU/Miami game. Between Steve Walsh and Craig Erickson, Miami passed for 308 yards on BYU in the rout. But we all know what happened two years later in Provo.
Orlando, Florida | December 28, 1985
BYU had six turnovers against Ohio State, which resulted in BYU finding the endzone only once in the 10-7 defeat.
Orlando, Florida | December 18, 1976
BYU trailed 28-21 in the third quarter before the Pokes reeled off 21 unanswered to pull away from the WAC champs.
