As a wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Pembroke Pines, FL, Toccoa House Properties is simply magical, where the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains meets the country-chic vibes of modern Appalachia. It has a distinctly custom-built feel, and for good reason. Nearly every inch of the property - from the luxurious cabins within walking distance of one another to the heated pool and more - was purpose-built for exceptional events, like weddings in Blue Ridge.
It all started when Oregonian Greg Spencer initially discovered the Blue Ridge area on a backpacking trip to the Cohutta Wilderness in the 1980s. A short time later, enamored of the area, Greg embarked on a land-purchasing mission that led him to 17 acres of undeveloped acreage. Amazed by the beauty of the Toccoa River and the inspiring views of the surrounding mountains, Greg wasted no time in securing what is now known as Toccoa House Properties.
Today, Toccoa House Properties exists as a one-of-a-kind, highly sought-after event space and wedding venue. At the end of the day, we want your wedding to be the very best that it can be - which is why we're happy to provide some time-tested tips for selecting a location for your wedding.
When selecting a venue for your wedding, it's important to take into account the overall look and atmosphere you wish to achieve. Your chosen wedding style will determine which venues are most suitable for you and your partner.
What time of the year do you want to get married? Once you have an idea of a season, like fall or spring, come up with a list of potential of wedding venues in Blue Ridge, GA, like Toccoa House Properties.
One of the most important steps involved in choosing a wedding venue is to tour the space. Don't be afraid to ask pertinent questions. If the venue manager seems like they have better things to do than answer your questions, look elsewhere.
Once you narrow down your wedding venue choices, consider the amenities and services the venue offers. Be sure to weigh what they offer against your needs and budget to further narrow down your choices.
If you think your guests will hate a particular wedding venue location, why consider it in the first place? Choosing a destination - like Toccoa House Properties - that is within a short driving distance of grocery stores and restaurants is almost always better than a hard-to-access venue.
Do yourself a favor and check out the wedding venue's Google reviews and reviews on other platforms. You can also ask for opinions from people you trust, like friends and family members. Don't be afraid to reach out directly to people who have used the wedding venue previously. A wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Pembroke Pines, FL, should be excited to show you their online reviews. If you notice a disparaging review, try asking the owner of the wedding venue to explain their side of the story before writing them off completely.
Try coming up with a list of pros and cons of each wedding venue that you're considering. Doing so can help you whittle your list down to one or two choices. Remember to trust your gut throughout this process. If you've come down to two choices, and something about one of the venues rubbed you the wrong way, it's probably for a reason.
Once you've settled on a wedding venue, it's time to book! As most wedding venues will tell you, try booking your venue at least a year before your wedding is set to take place. Doing so will give you plenty of time to plan. If you need help preparing, don't be afraid to work with a professional wedding planner to make your life easier.
When it comes to tying the knot with your soon-to-be spouse, there's a lot on your plate to consider. Choosing the right wedding space can mean the difference between the wedding of your dreams and an experience you'd like to forget. With six fully-furnished cabins, 17 acres of natural beauty, an array of outdoor activities, a quarter mile of Toccoa River frontage, and much more, there's no better option than our wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Pembroke Pines, FL- Toccoa House Properties.

A new food hall has opened in Broward, and its solely offers eastern cuisine.
Baoshi Food Hall + Bar opened Dec. 15 at 8525 Pines Boulevard in Pembroke Pines boasting five multicultural Asian street food vendors.
The food hall has taken over the space previously occupied by Gold Marquess, a Chinese restaurant owned by the family of Filbert “Fil” Ip, a South Florida-based restaurateur.
Trending: Here's how holiday travel is shaping up at South Florida's major airports
Gold Marquess is one of Baoshi Food Hall + Bar’s vendors, serving Cantonese-style fare, such as dim sum and roasted duck. Ip’s parents operated the restaurant for eight years before they retired in 2023.
The resurrected Chinese restaurant is joined by: Gangnam Chikn, a Korean fried chicken and barbeque restaurant; Boba Street Café, a bubble tea beverage retailer; Poke OG, a Hawaiian restaurant that serves Japanese sushi and crispy rice; and Temple Street Eatery, a Latin-Asian fusion restaurant specializing in Wonton Tacos, Godzilla Ramen and Chino Latino Hot Dogs.
Baoshi Food Hall also offers a curated local Asian market, cocktail bar, indoor and outdoor lounge and live entertainment space. The eatery also has been equipped with flatscreen TVs for viewing broadcast sports.
“At Baoshi, we're not just serving food; we're creating an experience,” said Baoshi Food Hall + Bar's owner lp. “Our goal is to offer the best in Asian cuisine and beyond, all in a dynamic and engaging setting. It will be a celebration of the many flavors that make up Asian cuisine, bringing together the culinary gems of China, Japan, Korea, and more.”
Cooking classes, private events and community events also will be offered at Baoshi Food Hall + Bar, Ip said.

The food hall features Japanese-inspired pop art murals created by Esteban Bressan, a Miami-based furniture designer, which depict different landscapes and skylines throughout Asia. DJ and band performances are reserved for weekends. Although Baoshi Food Hall has already opened to the public, the eatery will host its official grand opening celebration in January.
South Florida has welcomed several food halls in the last three years, and the list continues to grow. A few that opened in 2023 include Julia & Henry’s in Downtown Miami, Okeydokey in Brickell and The Bite Eatery in Pompano Beach.
Outside of Baoshi, Gangnam Chikn operates Smorgasburg stalls in Wynwood and Lincoln Road. Boba Street Café has a location in Boca Raton while Poke OG has spots in Wynwood and Downtown Miami. Temple Street Eatery has a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.

Window repair isn't the right approach every time. A technician could advise doing a window replacement in some cases instead.
Having your windows repaired rather than swapped out can potentially save both cash and time, but repairs should only happen if a specialist suggests it. Whether fixing or replacing is the right call comes down to the damage amount and the state of the window.

Doing it yourself might be cheaper initially, but could end up pricier over time. While you can likely manage basic repairs like applying caulk, getting a pro involved can help minimize larger risks.
Get quotes from multiple window repair pros to see if the cost makes sense, or if you are able to perform the fix yourself.
Before calling in an expert, look at our window type list above. This will help you determine which kind of window you need repaired.
Damaged windows could increase bills due to decreased energy efficiency. Heat gain or loss through windows leads your home’s heating and cooling systems to overexert to keep your house comfortable.

MIAMI - Heavy rain flooded several Broward County roads and slowed traffic. The worst, though, likely fell inside a Pembroke Pines apartment.
Tamara Jeudy said she sat on her couch watching television with her four-year-old daughter sitting at a desk nearby when soggy drywall and insulation fell on their heads Tuesday evening.
"We heard the noise and everything was under us," Jeudy said. "I couldn't even see (my daughter)."
A spokesperson for Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue said the drywall collapse did not hurt anyone. Firefighters blame a roof leak that swallowed hours of steady rainfall. Minor flooding swept across Broward County.
Waves of water rose over curbs along South Ocean Drive in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. It receded in less than an hour. Still, traffic slowed to avoid stalling out.
Between Hollywood and Dania Beach, drivers steered clear of trouble too.
Still, the City of Fort Lauderdale warned of a National Weather Service flood advisory lingering into Tuesday, according to a tweet by the city communications department. Combined with expected king tides threatening low-lying coastal areas, emergency managers began preparing people for potentially worse weather.
The Jeudys can imagine few things worse than losing their home.
"We were all coughing for like two minutes after the ceiling fell," Jeudy said. "What are we going to do?"
Their apartment is still vulnerable to rain, she said. So while her family waited for Red Cross support, they hoped drier days lay ahead.

Gutters are a vital component of your home’s drainage system, defending your siding and foundation from water damage. Finding the right gutter installation company is the first step to getting the best gutters for your Pembroke Pines home.
You can choose from a broad selection of gutter types, and each one is appropriate for different climates. For example, in heavy rainfall regions, box or K-style gutters at least 6 inches wide are most suitable.

When reviewing gutter installers, prioritize ones that use durable materials and have excellent customer feedback.
We advise researching installers' reputations using sites like the Better Business Bureau and Google Reviews. Avoid teams with concerning reviews or ratings below 3 stars. Some light research will help you avoid companies with concerning histories.

Several major factors affect the cost of new gutter installation, such as roof size, gutter material, number of stories, number of downspouts and any landscaping needs. Most homes have 150 to 200 linear feet of gutters. Multistory houses or those with complex roof systems have longer gutter systems.
Gutter material is the primary factor that determines the job cost. Longer-lasting, higher-quality materials, such as copper, steel and zinc, will be more expensive than lower-end materials, such as PVC and vinyl. High-end gutters also come with higher labor costs since the installation is more difficult and requires skilled technicians.
After you contact gutter installers, representatives will examine your current gutters and draft a personalized quote. This document specifies the specific factors that contribute to a gutter replacement's cost.
Replacing gutters gets pricey quickly, especially if your home is large or your old system has extensive damage. To save money:
The Homefront Local team employs a proprietary scoring algorithm that evaluates companies based on key factors you value, such as average customer review ratings and trustworthiness indicators.
