Amazed by the beauty of the Toccoa River and the inspiring views of the surrounding mountains, Greg wasted no time in securing what is now known as Toccoa House Properties.

At the end of the day, we want your wedding to be the very best that it can be - which is why we're happy to provide some time-tested tips for selecting a location for your wedding.
When selecting a venue for your wedding, it's important to take into account the overall look and atmosphere you wish to achieve. Your chosen wedding style will determine which venues are most suitable for you and your partner.
What time of the year do you want to get married? Once you have an idea of a season, like fall or spring, come up with a list of potential of wedding venues in Blue Ridge, GA, like Toccoa House Properties.
One of the most important steps involved in choosing a wedding venue is to tour the space. Don't be afraid to ask pertinent questions. If the venue manager seems like they have better things to do than answer your questions, look elsewhere.
Once you narrow down your wedding venue choices, consider the amenities and services the venue offers. Be sure to weigh what they offer against your needs and budget to further narrow down your choices.
If you think your guests will hate a particular wedding venue location, why consider it in the first place? Choosing a destination - like Toccoa House Properties - that is within a short driving distance of grocery stores and restaurants is almost always better than a hard-to-access venue.
Do yourself a favor and check out the wedding venue's Google reviews and reviews on other platforms. You can also ask for opinions from people you trust, like friends and family members. Don't be afraid to reach out directly to people who have used the wedding venue previously. A wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Pine Hills, FL, should be excited to show you their online reviews. If you notice a disparaging review, try asking the owner of the wedding venue to explain their side of the story before writing them off completely.
Try coming up with a list of pros and cons of each wedding venue that you're considering. Doing so can help you whittle your list down to one or two choices. Remember to trust your gut throughout this process. If you've come down to two choices, and something about one of the venues rubbed you the wrong way, it's probably for a reason.
Once you've settled on a wedding venue, it's time to book! As most wedding venues will tell you, try booking your venue at least a year before your wedding is set to take place. Doing so will give you plenty of time to plan. If you need help preparing, don't be afraid to work with a professional wedding planner to make your life easier.
When it comes to tying the knot with your soon-to-be spouse, there's a lot on your plate to consider. Choosing the right wedding space can mean the difference between the wedding of your dreams and an experience you'd like to forget. With six fully-furnished cabins, 17 acres of natural beauty, an array of outdoor activities, a quarter mile of Toccoa River frontage, and much more, there's no better option than our wedding venue in Blue Ridge for couples in Pine Hills, FL- Toccoa House Properties.

ORLANDO, FLa. – AT&T is planning to expand its fiber network and increase internet access to thousands of homes and businesses in Orlando in an effort to bring affordability to parts of the city where it may not exist, including Pine Hills.
AT&T announced Monday that it was bringing AT&T Fiber to nearly 5,000 homes and businesses in the Orlando area, including nearly 1,000 customers in Pine Hills. The move would allow customers in those areas to access speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second.
“A part of closing the digital divide is expanding access,” said Dan Pollock, regional director of External And Legislative Affairs for AT&T.
According to the Indicators of Broadband Need map produced by the U.S. Department of Commerce, 10.3% of Orange County homes are without internet access. Some parts of the county, including parts of the Pine Hills area, see at least 30% of homes without internet access.
The area is also considered a high-poverty community, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, with 43% of households below the poverty level.
AT&T joined the Heart of Florida United Way and many local, state and federal leaders to also let residents know they can also apply for the federal Affordable Connectivity Program too, which gives eligible low-income families the chance to receive free internet service. Qualifying is generally based on income and if you’re eligible for government programs for example.
“Unfortunately, only 34% of eligible households in Florida have taken advantage today,” Pollock said.
Jerry Dennis lives in Pine Hills with his wife and four kids.
“We should benefit from that. So it’s a good idea,” Dennis said. “That sounds very good because there are a lot of people who don’t have the opportunity to have internet.”
For perspective, News 6 asked Orange County leaders more about internet access across the county, and they told us about 1,400 homes in east Orange County, including Bithlo, Christmas, and parts of South Apopka don’t have internet.
This month, the Experience Christian Center in Pine Hills teamed up with the Action Church in Seminole county and a federal program to give out more than 30,000 wifi-enabled tablets to families.
Anyone who needs affordable internet access can take part in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program, which provides up to $30 a month to reduce the cost of internet access. The offset would make some AT&T internet access plans free for customers.
Other programs are available that provide free or affordable internet access in Central Florida.

PINE HILLS, Fla. — With smiles, cheers and playful tossing of sandy soil in the direction of a photographer, Orange County, state and Pine Hills leaders broke ground on a long-awaited bus transfer station Monday.
Once completed, the facility will have Lynx’s signature swooping roof, a covered waiting area and eight bays for buses to park at. County leaders hope its arrival will lead to easier commutes and shorter commute times for community members, some of which can run three hours in each direction.
“I think safety is the top priority, but a better travel time and our passenger experience [are also factors],” Lynx CEO Tiffany Hawkins said.

Construction is expected to end by the end of 2024. Two bus lines are already scheduled to move over, but there are plans to add new lines to increase connectivity for riders in the area.
The project is about more than buses, though. Road and traffic management improvements will also be made, and a multi-purpose path will be extended across Silver Star to help bicycle riders access the facility.

In the future, County Mayor Jerry Demings said he hopes Sunrail will also stop at the site.
“That will be something that can’t happen without a public private partnership that will require significant dollars to make that a reality for all of us,” he said, setting expectations. “But that is the hope of the future.”

For their part, Pine Hills community leaders pointed out that Evans High School was one block away, and said they believed the station would help give the community a hub to kick off a new era of growth.
“It’s a huge investment in Pine Hills. It means that businesses will come in to our community, because young because people need to get to work,” Community Council President Sandra Famti-Hall said. “It’s a long time coming.”

Gutters are a central part of your home’s drainage system and safeguard your foundation and siding from water damage. Finding the right gutter installation company is the first step to getting the best gutters for your Pine Hills home.
There is a wide variety of gutter types out there, and each model is designed for different climates. Adding products like heat tape can help minimize damage from ice dams.
These gutter installation companies in Pine Hills, Florida, are well-versed in the local climate and can recommend the right new gutter system for your home.
The gutter company you choose should pair useful service offerings with strong customer reviews. Prioritize gutter installers that offer gutters made from long-lasting materials, such as aluminum or stainless steel, rather than vinyl or PVC.
We recommend reviewing each gutter installer's profile on Better Business Bureau and perusing customer comments on its Google Reviews page. We’d be cautious of any company or branch location with a history of complaints or an average customer review score of less than 3 out of 5 stars.

Look for these signs that your gutters might be failing:
Before you contact a gutter company, do a quick inspection to know what services you need. Minor cracks and leaks are easy to fix with patching services or replacement parts. Substantial damage will generally warrant a full system replacement.
The right gutter material for you will balance cost and durability with aesthetics. Popular gutter material options that Pine Hills companies offer include these:

Your new gutters' cost will depend on roof size, number of stories, gutter material, number of downspouts and any landscaping requirements. Most homes need 150 to 200 linear feet of gutters, though multistory homes and complex roofs might need more.
The primary cost driver for your new gutters is the material you choose. Durable, high-end materials such as copper, steel and zinc are more expensive than vinyl and PVC. Zinc and copper also tend to cost more for labor, because they're more difficult to install.
When you contact a gutter contractor, they'll send a representative to inspect your existing gutters and provide you with a free quote. They'll explain the factors and services contributing to your new system's total cost and respond to any concerns you may have.
Replacing gutters can get very expensive, especially for larger homes. Here are some cost-saving tips:

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida transportation officials and elected leaders broke ground Monday on the Pine Hills Transfer Center, a LYNX facility designed to improve transportation access in that Orange County community.
Located near the intersection of Silver Star Road and Pine Hills Road off Belco Drive, the new station will alleviate the need for some bus passengers to travel more than five miles east to the LYNX Central Station in Downtown Orlando to transfer to other bus routes.
“This becomes the hub, the transportation hub for the Pine Hills community,” said LYNX CEO Tiffany Homler Hawkins.

When construction is completed in about 12 to 14 months, the Pine Hills Transfer Center will feature eight bays to load and unload buses. Waiting passengers will be sheltered by a canopy resembling the one found at the agency’s downtown bus station.
The project also includes improvements to Belco Drive and an expansion of Pine Hills Trail.
“Our goal is to make it more convenient for riders of the LYNX bus system to really improve connectivity and access to our public transit system,” said Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings, who serves as chair of the LYNX board of directors “By improving the number of buses and routes available, hopefully we will cut down on the period of time for people that it will take to get to their final destinations in our community.”
The $15 million project is being funded by a combination of local, state and federal funds.
In the future, Demings said he hopes the SunRail commuter rail system can be linked to the Pine Hills Transfer Station.
Deemoreena Duvall, who relies on LYNX buses to get around Central Florida, will not miss traveling to the Downtown Orlando bus station to transfer to another bus route.
“That will be convenient,” said Duvall. “Make things faster.”

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Thousands of free tablets are being distributed to families in Pine Hills.
And Saturday, some of the first stacks were passed out at a giveaway event.
Orlando faith leaders celebrated as they unloaded a truck full of boxes.
What's inside are tools they hope will connect this community.
"For a while, we saw kids walking to various places to try to get Internet access so that they can do things," Bishop Derrick McRae said.
McRae, with The Experience Christian Center, helped get groups together to give back to families living in Pine Hills.
With the help of city leaders, a federal grant and Moolah Wireless, 30,000 free tablets are going to the families.
The first stacks were handed out at this event.
"Well, we understand that this area Pine Hills area is a very, very challenged area financially. And many of the individuals are sometimes making the decision between am I going to feed my kids or am I going to have to access for my kids to be up to date in school work," McRae said.
"It feels really good to have a tablet really soon," said Peyton Glenn, a child receiving a tablet.
Parents and children expressed gratitude.
"It's like Christmas but not on the exact day," said Adonijah O'Neal, a child receiving a tablet.
"Having an extra resource like an electronic device – the tablets will help us out tremendously," parent Nicholas O'Neal said.
"It helps them where they cannot be on my nerves sometimes, and they just love electronics," parent Gelisa O'Neal said.
The event is not only a handout – it's also a hand-up.
There were several groups from the community giving people dental care, health care, and even free haircuts.
"This community is going to be forever changed," said Sandra Fatmi-Hall, the president of Pine Hills Community Council.
Fatmi-Hall says it'll inspire the next generation.
"We're asking our young people to make something of themselves. We're trying," Fatmi-Hall said.
Saturday's event is over, but The Experience Christian Center says volunteers will continue to hand out the free tablets until supplies run out.
